365 Indexer SME enables dtSearch Desktop to search SharePoint and OneNote Online, in Windows 10 or 11. .It supports multiple Microsoft 365 accounts signed in at once and works well for individuals, small teams, and professional services firms such as law practices and accountancy firms where an IT administrator or practice manager oversees the Microsoft 365 environment, those accounts could be:

• Multiple accounts all within the same tenant (e.g. different admin accounts at the same company)
• Accounts from different tenants (e.g. a consultant who indexes SharePoint for
  several different client organisations from one machine)

365 Indexer avoid the need for remote workers to make local copies of files on their desktop. With this add-on they can index and search files stored exclusively online.

SharePoint:

• Indexes all or selected team or personal sites
• Automatically indexes Site, SiteType, List and ListType as enumerable fields

OneNote:

We all know how things start off fine, users can quickly create OneNote Notebook sections and pages and can often remember where they squirreled away important information when they have a small number of pages. Over time the volume of information grows, information gets duplicated, information becomes out of date, people leave or move to new posts…

Trying to find information, weed out duplicate or obsolete data, or ensure compliance, gets harder over time as the amount of information grows. That’s when you need a heavy duty search tool like dtSearch Desktop.

• Index all or selected Site or Group notebooks, including Class Notebooks
• Automatically indexes OneNote Tags as a tokenised enumerable ‘tags’ field.
  Examples search requests:  ‘tags contains to-do’,  ‘to-do contains laundry’, etc.
  Other enumerable fields are Notebook and Type
• Field search example search request:
  (Notebook contains ( Projects )) and (Page contains ( silicon  ))
• All fields are treated as stored fields so that they appear in search results

PDF attachments are stored compressed in the index, dtSearch Desktop/Network 2026.01 or later no longer needs a PDF hit-highlighter plugin..

Localization

UI shows automatically in the users Windows language or user can choose from the installed langaues. (Currently includes French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese (i.e. All official UN languages apart from Arabic – contact us if Arabic or other languages are required).
Languages can also be added or edited by means of an external .lang file to translate all visible text into any language supported by Unicode. FREE Language File Editor

Microsoft Licenses

365 Indexer works with any Microsoft 365 plan – you do not need an E3, E5 or Purview add-on license. 365 Indexer gives users fast desktop search of SharePoint and OneNote content with dtSearch’s hit-highlighting, field searching and support for all common file formats, including non-Microsoft file formats, and all of the advanced search and reporting options built into dtSearch Desktop/Network.

Annual license covers installation up to the number of licensed dtSearch Desktop/Network users:

365i-50S $525/year for 1 to 50 user
license. If your dtSearch license is beyond the one year included support add $72 per user up to 24 users, or $60 per user for 25 to 50 users.
